Keiser University has been approved as an eligible institution by the United States Department of Education to participate in Federal Financial Aid Programs. The federal and institutional programs available for the students in the university who qualify are the following: Federal Pell Grant, Florida Student Assistance Grant, William L. Boyd, IV, Florida Resident Access Grant and the last one is Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant. The main criterion for receiving grants is substantial financial need. They don’t have to be repaid unless a student becomes ineligible. Furthermore all the students have to maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined in the University Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy. The first grant which is Federal Pell Grant is an award to assist needy undergraduates in paying for their education. This grant doesn’t have to be repaid unless a student becomes ineligible. Eligibility is based on several factors. All the students have to complete a free application for federal student aid. Then this generates an Expected Family Contribution number and other criteria, the amount of award, is determined. FSEOG provides additional grant assistance to students. As funds are limited, priority is given to Pell – eligible students with exceptional financial need. FRAG provides tuition assistance to Florida undergraduate students attending an eligible private non – profit Florida College or university. The FSAG program is funded by the state of Florida and granted to needy students enrolled in bachelor degree or also associate degree programs.
